Involute splines are currently the standard spline configuration used for the mandrel in twin-screw extruders worldwide. Standard specifications include China’s GB standard, Germany’s DIN 5480 (or DIN 5482), and Japanese standards. This spline design enables a greater groove-depth-to-pitch ratio while ensuring long service life for both the mandrel and the extended screw elements.
