Dual-head conveying element

所属分类: Conveying element

Twin-screw conveying elements achieve an optimal balance between free volume and high torque-carrying capacity when the Do/Di ratio is in the range of 1.55 to 1.8, which is why they dominate in co-rotating twin-screw compounding extruders. Twin-screw elements with a large lead are commonly used in the feed and vent sections of the screw (including both “natural venting” and “vacuum venting”), where the material typically fills the element only partially. In contrast, small-lead screw elements are mostly employed for pressure buildup or as spacer kneading blocks to increase residence time and enhance melt homogenization.

Technical Details of Dual-Head Components

Model: Φ18 mm ~ Φ400 mm

Material: WR5 / WR7 / WR13 / Nickel-based alloy

Performance: Wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant

WR5: The carbides in WR5 are predominantly fine, uniformly dispersed spherical vanadium carbides, with a suitable amount of chromium carbide as a secondary phase. This microstructure delivers excellent wear resistance, superior impact performance, and outstanding spalling resistance, resulting in a service life approximately three times that of 6542 material.

WR7: The carbides in WR7 are predominantly fine, uniformly dispersed spherical vanadium and chromium carbides, with a high carbide content that delivers the best overall wear and corrosion resistance, making it a high-end replacement for WR5.

WR13: Combines wear resistance and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for the battery slurry industry.

Nickel-based alloys: exhibit excellent wear and corrosion resistance.

Dual-Head Component Function

• Excellent material conveying performance

• Short and limited duration of stay

• Excellent self-cleaning properties
